Now, Niantic is experimenting with a second type of activity like this, Limited Research Days. The idea is that over the course of three hours, Pokémon GO players will be given Limited Research tasks from Pokestops that will lead to an encounter with specific Pokémon. While shiny Pokémon are almost a guarantee on Community Day, getting a shiny Feebas on Limited Research day here may not be possible for you, depending on luck and timing. The second bit of bad news is that shiny Feebas spawns are random. This is just the first Pokémon GO Limited Research event ever, so Niantic may make some tweaks to future ones, but know that if you don’t get a shiny Feebas in three hours, you’re probably not alone.
