KUALA LUMPUR: Poh Kong Holdings Bhd shares got a boost on Monday after the jeweller reported a strong quarterly earnings. Poh Kong shares surged 25.4%, or 16 sen to 79 sen in active trade in early trade. Its quarterly revenue grew 31% to RM259.98mil from RM198.35mil a year ago. Poh Kong said that the sharp rise of RM61.63mil in revenue was mainly due to the increase in demand for gold jewellery and gold investment products. Poh Kong has has declared its first and final single tier dividend of one sen per share in respect of the financial year ended July 31, 2017.
