Plymouth Argyle: Redundancies proposed in restructure at League One club

Up to 20 roles could be made redundant at Plymouth Argyle as the League One club tries to stem financial losses. Accounts lodged with Companies House in December showed owner Simon Hallett lent the club £9.8m after relegation from the Championship last season. "The club can confirm it has proposed to staff a restructure of its operations," Argyle said in a statement to BBC Sport. However, the return to League One, coupled with wider inflationary pressures, has resulted in the club incurring significant financial losses. "This is being proposed in order to address significant financial pressures, and to assist the club in trying to ensure long-term sustainability."
