She was placed on a transplant list within weeks of NHS England approval for the medicine. This involves offering her organ to someone who is a match for Abi but it has so far proved futile. After a campaign by the Daily Mirror, MPs voted three months ago for an opt-out system where everyone is considered a donor unless they state otherwise.
