School pupils from around South Canterbury had the chance to try the police physical competency test challenge on Thursday. Pleasant Point locked up the South Canterbury year 7 and 8 police Physical Competency Test challenge in Timaru on Thursday. The only change on Thursday was the beam challenge being lowered to the ground for safety reasons in the damp conditions. Pleasant Point, starting fourth last of the 19 teams, then posted the winning time of 2 minutes 36.3 seconds.
