The death toll in the stampede at a religious congregation in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras has risen to 121, a senior official said on Wednesday. According to the Office of the Relief Commissioner, the number of people injured in Tuesday's incident stands at 28. The Uttar Pradesh Police on Wednesday registered an FIR against the organisers of the religious congregation. A day after mounting a scathing attack on the Congress and Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reply to the Motion of Thanks on the President's address in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday around noon. The Prime Minister, like his speech in the Lok Sabha, is expected to be at his combative best during his address in the Rajya Sabha and take on an aggressive opposition following an impressive showing in the Lok Sabha polls.
