Young Bloemfontein footballer Sam Kalume (20) is delighted to finally pursue his dream of studying and playing in the United States (US). Kalume recently jetted out of South Africa to pursue academics and his promising football career at the William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Due to the pandemic, the university allowed Kalume to complete his first year in Computer Science online. He chose the William Penn University over offers from Canada, England and four other institutions in America. “Because the William Penn University offered the most when it came to the scholarship, I signed with this institution.”Kalume started playing football when he was eight years old.
