Plans to refurbish customer toilets at Windsor and Eton Riverside Station have been submitted to the Royal Borough. The application looks to refurbish the toilets located in the main concourse area and provide new sanitary ware and wall, floor and ceiling finishes, the design, access and heritage statement said. The Grade II-listed station in Datchet Road was designed in the 1840s by William Tite as a ‘royal station’ with a stone-faced frontage with a main window, gables and a multi-arch entrance. Trains on the Staines to Windsor line, which is served by South Western Railway from Waterloo, terminate at the station. “The proposed works are, for all intents and purposes, cosmetic in nature and do not impact on the heritage assets of the station building.
