Plans for a new Indian takeaway in a Norfolk village have been rejected over fears of a ‘fat burg’ forming in the surrounding sewage network. Juber Ahmed made a bid to open the business in Kenninghall, near Diss, at 2 Market Place, the former home of the Twin Teapots cafe. The plans were met with objections from locals and the parish council, which raised concerns about the opening hours of the takeaway and its environmental impact. Kenninghall Parish Council said: “We feel these hours are unacceptable in terms of noise for local residents and volume of business traffic from outside the village. Four further objections were received from members of the public and Mr Ahmed was not granted permission for the development.
