The minister made the statement at the inauguration ceremony of a training program, Agriculture (crop, fisheries and livestock) Census 2019, for divisional and district coordinators at Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) headquarters in Dhaka on Sunday. Mannan said: “We not only appreciate positive feedback, but criticism too, so as to overcome situations and to consider the facts for the future. You can point it out, and we will try to work on it.”The minister furthered: “We should be patient and allow some time for our Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to eradicate the irregularities. Sourendra Nath Chakraborty, secretary of the statistics and information management department, presided over the session.
