Commuters in the capital were facing travel chaos this week as Tube drivers prepared to walk out over pay. The first of several planned 24-hour strikes was set to take place from 12pm on August 3, and last for 24 hours. Mr Lynch said previously: "London Underground's proposals to rip up an agreement that protects 3,000 Tube drivers' work life balance has caused uproar in the depots amongst drivers. Plans changes would see alterations to the way drivers are employed on the Night Tube system, meaning all would work a mixture of day and night shifts, as opposed to employing drivers to solely work the Night Tube as London Underground does currently.
