A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokeswoman said emergency services were alerted about 8am on Wednesday. An Air New Zealand spokeswoman said flight NZ8807 from Tauranga to Christchurch had a suspected hydraulic issue but landed safely just before 8.30am. Emergency services were called as a precaution and the aircraft was being inspected by engineers, she said.
