MUMBAI: An IndiGo passenger has filed a complaint against the airline for refusing to accept Indian currency for a meal he wanted to buy onboard one of its international flights.T he incident occurred on October 10 on board Bengaluru-Dubai flight 6E95. Jain also submitted a copy of the IndiGo inflight menu which lists prices of food items in dollars. Its last page says "IndiGo accepts cash payments in USD and in the local currency of the country of origin/destination of the flight''." "This is disrespect to our country's currency,'' said Jain who filed a complaint under IPC Section 124 (A) (pertaining to sedition) and Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971. "We filed a request for carrying on-board sales in Indian currency notes above Rs 25,000 with the RBI on February and June 2014.
