In advance of their sold-out show at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, concert promoter Live Nation sent out some of the very impressive stats the double bill of Pitbull and Enrique Iglesias has amassed since the two Latin superstars began touring together in 2012. Maybe the most impressive was that in three tours together, they have played to more than 1.3 million fans, almost all of whom were just in the U.S. (they did one Australian run together as well). Both styles work expertly in their own way and make it easy to see, as I said, why the touring dynamic between them is so successful. This got me thinking about other dream double bills I’d like to see. Here are a few artists who could benefit, either artistically or commercially, from the co-headlining approach Pitbull and Iglesias have shown to be so successful.
