The Pirates Swim Team won Swimming Wellington Short Course Championships beating Capital Swim Club which had held the title for 25 years. Pirates Swim Team have done over the weekend what no other club in the region has managed in 25 years - beat Capital Swim Club in the Swimming Wellington Short Course Championships. Even with their Olympic star, Capital Swimming Club would not have been able to keep their stranglehold on one of club swimming’s most coveted titles.
