Aileen Cerrudo • May 11, 2020 • 52A team of Filipino workers in Ethiopia innovated a disinfection cabin to fight the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in their host country. The disinfection cabin was installed at the Wollo University-Kombolcha Institute of Technology (WU-KIOT). The said Filipino innovators were inspired by the disinfection cabin of the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology called ‘CabinIITZ’. The DFA also said the Wollo Provincial Office of the Ethiopian Ministry of Health will later inspect the Filipino-innovated disinfection cabin and the disinfectant formulation. “WU-KIOT endeavors to get the disinfection cabin accredited by the Ethiopian Ministry of Health,” the DFA said.
