FOUR panellists spoke about rooftop solar technology at the launch of a renewables project being piloted in Sonning Common. The scheme will seek to inspire the uptake of solar technology in the village through a series of workshops and events. The panel discussed the benefits, costs, challenges and limitations of adopting solar technology as well as where to go for guidance, followed by questions from the audience. He said: “The cost of solar technology has come down significantly and there are also schemes available to help overcome the initial cost barrier. He said taking it on as part of a community would have given him more confidence, and said the CPRE scheme was “very welcome”.
