A pilot has been taken to hospital after a light aircraft crashed into a field and came to a rest upside down. Emergency services including an air ambulance, police and fire service are currently at the scene of the crash near St Agnes, Cornwall. Witnesses said that the plane is upside down in the middle of a ploughed field overlooking the St Agnes Beacon beauty spot. A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: 'Emergency Services are currently at the scene of a light aircraft crash on Penwinnick Road near St Agnes. 'Police were called at around 2.20pm following reports that a light aircraft carrying one sole occupant had collided into a field.
