In 2018, he spent a week in hospital after being bitten by a spider while on holiday in Antigua. Alongside a photo of Spencer tucked up in a hospital bed, Piers revealed: ‘One small spider bite in Antigua.. led to one long week of near-Sepsis hell in Turkey. Am I f*** #ChristHasRisenAgain.’Although Spencer joked about his hospital stay, over on Twitter, he noted how dangerous his injury could have been.
