The latest Conservative leader has abandoned the party’s hands-off approach to the ongoing court challenges to Quebec’s controversial securalism law. Is this the kind of philosophy a CPC federal government would condone and/or integrate into its approach to economic and social policy files? Until now, Poilievre has largely remained silent in the face of the controversial moves of a variety of conservative-friendly premiers. In Vancouver this week, Poilievre described the parliamentary press gallery (of which I am not a member) as an organization that purports to dictate the terms of the political conversation.
