Pierce Lepage of Whitby, Ont., won the men's decathlon on Wednesday at the Canadian track and field championships. Taylor Stewart (7,882) of London, Ont., took silver and American Robert Robinson (7,650) was third. Olympic bronze medallist Damian Warner, also from London, decided not to compete in the decathlon at nationals this year, instead participating in individual events. The six-foot-seven Lepage was discovered through the RBC Future Olympians program in March 2016 and has been an up-and-comer in Canada's track scene since. Niki Oudenaarden of St. Albert, Alta., won the women's heptathlon with 6,000 points.
