The five-year-old girl photographed on a respirator next to her sobbing grandfather has a strong heart and her family is resting, a spokeswoman for the family told Fox News early Friday. Braylynn Lawhon, who is suffering from brain cancer is next to her grandfather, Sean Peterson, who is suffering from Lou Gehrig’s disease and has lost the ability to speak. Braylynn was diagnosed in December with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, DIPG, a deadly form of brain cancer. According to The Daily Advertiser, this type of brain cancer has no cure and no survival rate. “These kids deserve so much more than that, someday soon someone needs to find out what that cure is.”The family spokeswoman said there will be further updates in the morning.
