On Saturday, volunteers from all over the globe assembled yet again at Kata Beach to help CBBC celebrate five successful years and over 125 beach cleaning sessions since the initiative began. From its humble beginnings in Phuket, Krix Luther has turned CBBC into a global event now operating in many countries. Saturday’s clean-up was sponsored by The Kata Sea Beeze and the SIS Hotel in Kata. Getting involved with the CBBC is good for everyone, said Mat Hindmarsh, director of hotels and resorts, Aksara Collection. The boot camp “not only makes cleaning our beaches fun, it’s a responsibility that the Aksara Collection – Kata Sea Breeze and SIS Kata – takes seriously.
