The Phuket Town Police arrested 35 year old Sermsin Thepwong from Khon Kaen at 6:30pm on Wednesday. He was arrested at a house on Anuphas Phuketkan Road in Phuket Town. After investigations, police found that the suspect lives in Saphan Ruamjai Community which is about 800 metres from the gold shop. He was taken to the gold shop where a reenactment was conducted. The items from the gold shop were mostly gold and ‘faux gold’ amulets.
