Heard Chapel Church held a bench dedication this weekend at Pig’s Field in memory of Quinton “Tiny” Ming. Bonnie Smith, one of the church members of Heard Chapel, said, “Sadly, Bro Quinton Ming a stalwart of Heard Chapel passed way last year. ‘Bro Tiny’ as he was affectionally known, had a long association with both Heard Chapel AME Church and the North Village Community and Pig s Field in particular. “Additionally, Bro Tiny had an infectious personality that was enjoyed by all and young people in particular. “Quinton John Augustus ‘Tiny’ Ming, a popular softball coach and devotee of Heard Chapel AME, was born on September 26, 1936.
