Everton have been offered the chance to sign Philippe Coutinho on loan from Barcelona , according to transfer expert Ian McGarry. Coutinho has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs after it emerged Bayern Munich would not pursue signing the Brazilian who they have had on loan this season. Coutinho has failed to live up to his £142.5million price tag since he left Everton's Merseyside rivals Liverpool in January 2018 for Barcelona. Everton now have the chance to sign the 28-year-old but only if Barca pay a considerable part of his wages. McGarry said on the Transfer Window podcast: "It's our understanding that the agent of Philippe Coutinho, Kia Joorabchian, who has very close links with Everton chairman Farhad Moshiri, has offered the player to the Goodison Park club on a year's loan from his current parent club Barcelona.
