Now they’re ready for their first full orchestral treatment. The Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra boasts 90 local and foreign musicians. Thanaphon Setaphram, conducting the Mahidol shows, aims to bring a new dynamic to orchestral music. He earned the orchestra further acclaim with last year’s concerts “TPO at the Movies” and “Legends and Fantasies”. The highlight will be a new arrangement of Tattoo Colour’s greatest hits by Col Prateep Suphanrojn, composer in residence and resident conductor, whose most notable work giving traditional Thai music orchestral arrangements.
