Consumers are likely to continue buying goods and services online, according to a member of the Philippine Exporters Confederation Inc. (Philexport). According to him, the pandemic forced enterprises to rethink their strategies and find markets and products that would keep them relevant and afloat. “Most of the buying sprees are registered online — another irreversible trend that we believe will continue to thrive even after the pandemic. Meanwhile, Philexport President Sergio Ortiz-Luis Jr. is hopeful that despite the impact of the pandemic on the economy, exports are starting to recover. “Both the government and the private sector are looking forward to a major turnaround with exports leading the way,” he added.
