Philadelphia beckons for renowned Ballinahown artistAcclaimed Ballinahown artist Rosemarie Langtry is winging her way to Philadelphia this week with 25 other artists from every corner of Ireland. 'Straight Out of Ireland' looks to showcase the incredible work of 26 Irish artists as well as US-based artists inspired by contemporary Ireland. The beneficiary of the event is the Irish Diaspora Center (formerly the Irish Immigration Center) of Greater Philadelphia. It will be a great learning curve for me, and I am very grateful to The Irish Diaspora Centre of Philadelphia for including me in this prestigious exhibition and to my local Local Enterprise Office for their support”. The Irish Diaspora Centre, formerly the Irish Immigration Centre organisation, aims to support the Irish immigrant community in Philadelphia and strengthen the heritage on a local, national, and international level.
