LISTED technology services provider PhilWeb Corp. on Wednesday said it acquired three electronic gaming and bingo sites through share swaps. In another filing, it said it has also acquired thru subsidiary BigGame, Inc. a PAGCOR e-Games site in Pasay City from Florante O. Castillo by giving the latter 1.25 million PhilWeb common shares. In March this year, PhilWeb announced its plan to acquire 15 PAGCOR e-Games stations as the company seeks to renew its license with PAGCOR. But this did not mean Philweb could already resume its operations in the industry, PAGCOR noted in November. PAGCOR decided not to renew Philweb’s license in 2016 after President Rodrigo Duterte expressed his disapproval of online gambling.
