(PhilHealth) is investigating other clinics for fraudulent dialysis treatment claims in the wake of irregularities that have led to an overhaul of the state-owned firm’s management. Janimhe Jalbuna, public affairs head of PhilHealth-Western Visayas, said two dialysis centers had attempted to claim payments for treatments involving patients who were already deceased. The clinics, which were not identified, were said to have charged P2,600 per session. Kristian Vicente Gargantiel said formal charges had yet to be filed against Sy, the owner of WellMed Dialysis and Laboratory Center in Novaliches, Quezon City. Also charged by the NBI were Claro Sy, Therese Francesca Tan-Sy, Dr. John Ray Gonzales, Alvin Sy, Dick Ong, Dr. Porsha Natividad and Dr. Joemie Soriano.
