THE Philippine National ID, or Phil ID, is seen by many as a means for citizens to easily access and avail of government services. The Phil ID: is it the silver bullet solution as some parties portray it to be? President Rodrigo Duterte himself said that the implementation of the national ID system could have addressed those delays. It must issue the voter’s ID as a requirement for voting to weed out flying voters. It must not rely on the Phil ID as if it is a silver bullet solution to its voter registration or registered voter-related problems.
