Cricket Australia chief James Sutherland says sledging remains part of the game but it's up to umpires to ensure the line is not crossed. Hughes, representing South Australia, was killed by a Sean Abbott bouncer which burst an artery in his neck and caused a haemorrhage in his brain. "Certainly the recommendations specifically go to perceived anomalies or ambiguity perhaps between the laws of the game and our playing regulations for Sheffield Shield cricket. The coroner also said the SCG Trust and Cricket NSW should have a daily medical briefing before play to ensure that all parties were aware of what they would do in case of an emergency.
