By his own estimation he printed out 12 images two or three times a week, a hearing of the New Zealand Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal was told recently. Allen was finally caught when a colleague found the printouts, which Allen had thrown away with the rubbish. But its members concluded the offending was so serious Allen's registration, which he had held since 1976, had to be cancelled.
