Responding to queries on new industrial parks in the State, he said the Central Government Environmental Clearance Committee had inspected the area and made some suggestions. After the formation of Telangana, 53 parks were sanctioned with 46,000 acres of land. Of them, 26 industrial parks sanctioned required permissions and some of them commenced operations, he said. Mr. Prabhakar said 190 acres of land allotted to Gitanjali Gems Park prior to 2014 was mortgaged by the company to raise ₹120 crore loan.
