Furberg is the Senior Vice President of the Bangkok-based Telenor Digital Business. He has held a number of positions at Telenor including Chief Financial Officer and Head of Financial Services. Furberg will be replacing current CEO Rajeev Sethi, who will pursue new opportunities. Sethi has been the CEO of Grameenphone since November 2014. The Grameenphone Board of Directors will now begin a process to identify a permanent CEO.
