The hard-spiking former University of Texas star delivered eight of Petron’s last nine points in the deciding set, leaving Aby Marano, Cherry Nunag and other F2 Logistics’ defender groping for form. F2 Logistics, however, didn’t quit. The gamble paid off as Petron didn’t have any answer to the hot-smashing Cruz while displayed her brilliant all-around game at both ends of the floor. True enough, Petron ran out of gas in the deciding match, giving F2 Logistics its first Grand Prix crown. Again, they would be riding on her back, hoping to be saved by the Bell.
