A new petition is calling on the Saskatchewan government to reinstate the film tax credit and bring a major industry back to the province. "In 2012, we made the difficult decision to end the refundable tax credit, which acted essentially like a grant," he said. Regina cinematographer Layton Burton says he doesn't see a future for the film industry in Saskatchewan without a film tax credit.
