Share TweetBy Restituto CayubitTACLOBAN CITY — The governor of Leyte province wins another term and given the fresh mandate by the people after he won a landslide vote last May 13 midterm elections. The reelected governor who will be serving his third term told reporters in an interview that he will focus on poverty alleviation of the province for his last term in office. At present Petilla said, there are already more than 250 farmers/fishermen organizations in more than 250 villages in 40 towns and one city that are benefitting from his poverty alleviation program. The governor said that his target is to reduce the poverty incidence to 15 percent within five years from 23.6 percent in 2016 through his poverty alleviation program.
