Independent candidate Peter Casey, who exceeded all expectations in the presidential election, says there is no longer any need for him to publish his tax returns as the presidential election is over. Asked about his tax returns Mr Casey said: “I am totally tax compliant in every jurisdiction”. Mr Casey had previously said he was in the process of changing his tax status as he is currently not tax resident in Ireland. Mr Casey said you cannot be racist if you do not regard the people you’re talking about as a different race.
