READER REPORT: Pet of the day: Mackie leaves his markNoel Burland Mackie, front, and his offsider Cat (aka Toby), rear, waiting patiently for dinner to be served. As a kitten, Mackie was always adventurous and I still remember the day we took him outside for the first time. Mackie loved attention and hated to be left alone, even for a short while. One thing Mackie loved was drinking water out of the bath tap. I have a brother and sister living in different parts of the country but everyone in the family, including our partners, are absolutely gutted that our amazing cat Mackie is gone.
