I'm pretty sure Dougie should have gone to a family with wild pre-teen boys who like nothing more than to run, wrestle and shout. Instead, Dougie came home with me and his laid back, gentle brother Richie McPaw. When I chose to name him Dougie Howlett (after another great All Black) I had no idea that it would fit so well.
