The house was well alight when local firefighter arrived to the blaze on Dalmeny St in Tokoroa. A person escaped a single-storey house with minor burns after it went up in flames before sunrise. Fire and Emergency NZ was called to the blaze in Tokoroa shortly before 6am on Friday, northern communications shift manager Murray Bannister said.
