A person has been left with serious injuries after crashing into a power pole and bringing power lines down onto their vehicle. Fire and Emergency NZ spokesman Brent Dunn said a person was trapped in the vehicle by the fallen power lines. The fallen pole and lines had blocked the road and it remained closed on Sunday, a police statement said. Greymouth-based electricity supplier WestPower said power was off in four Reefton streets: Buller Rd, Elizabeth St, Hattie St, and Crampton Rd.
