Traffic backed up on River Rd in Upper Hutt in a crash on SH2 on Saturday. Police have released the name of a man who died in a crash in Upper Hutt on Saturday evening. He was Leslie Samuel Stanshall, 75, of Upper Hutt. Earlier, a motorbike and a car crashed on the River Rd and one person was killed. Correction: An earlier version of this story said Stanshall died in the earlier motorbike crash.
