Emergency services are responding to a crash on Gibbston Highway. A person is dead after a crash involving a truck carrying a house in Otago. Emergency services were called about 8.45pm on Thursday to the crash on Gibbston Highway, west of the Kawarau Bridge. A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokeswoman said the crash involved a van and a "house transporting truck". One person died in the crash, police confirmed in a statement.
