A person was taken to hospital after being assaulted in Christchurch. (File photo)A person is in a serious condition in hospital after being assaulted in east Christchurch. Police were called to Cypress St in Linwood by Memorial Park Cemetery at about 4pm on Tuesday. A spokeswoman said the person was found alone, near the intersection between Cypress St and Ruru Rd. An ambulance took the person to Christchurch Hospital in a serious condition, a St John spokeswoman said.
