One person is trapped after their car flipped on a Banks Peninsula road. (File photo)A person has been cut free after being trapped when a car flipped on Canterbury’s Banks Peninsula. Another two people have escaped largely unscathed from the overturned vehicle. Emergency services were called to the one-car crash on Governors Bay Rd, by Lyttelton Harbour near Rāpaki, just after 3pm. Fire and Emergency NZ shift manager Brent Dunn said crews arrived at the scene where they found a car on its roof, with one person trapped inside.
