A person has been taken to hospital in a critical condition following a crash in Queenstown this morning. Seven other people have also been taken to Lakes District Hospital for assessment following the crash on Gorge Rd. A police spokesman said emergency services were called to the scene about 6am. A St John spokesman said the crash involved a van with eight people on board. He had no further details on the person with critical injuries.
