In a weather forecast at 9am on Sunday, BMD said a low-pressure area has formed over the central Bay and adjoining North Bay. After 72 hours, the rain and thunder showers may decrease gradually, BMD forecasted. Abdul Mannan, a meteorologist of BMD, said: "Dome places may face heavy rain in the southern part of the country. All fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay and deep sea have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution. Any rains in the forthcoming days will be due to low-pressure zones in the Bay of Benga; or some other phenomenon, they added.
